Promoting sustainable mobility to reduce our carbon footprint
Product transport and employee commutes are the second greatest source of emissions linked to our business. We are committed to developing more sustainable mobility by having our products transported by train, and by providing Ami electric quadricycles for our employees.
Objective 1 : Offer our customers a more sustainable delivery alternative
Distance our goods travel by train
Testimonial :
“The transportation of our goods is an integral part of our value proposition. Delivery also represents a direct, very concrete link with our customers. Since early 2024, we have been conducting tests on the Lille-Marseille rail line to offer our customers a more sustainable delivery alternative. Shipping by train emits 75% less greenhouse gas than by truck ! This is a strong desire on our part, part of a broader objective to improve our delivery service.“
Sophie Baudry, Marketing Director, Innovation & SEU
“At ManOrga, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by switching to rail transport for product delivery. By limiting truck use, we can reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 74%, while controlling costs and maintaining quality service.
For last-mile pick-ups and deliveries, we choose trucks that run on alternative fuels, like biogas or electricity. Also, as part of our “NEO” project, we are exploring remote storage solutions nationally and internationally to reduce our carbon impact even more.
Our goal is clear : To sustainably incorporate these initiatives in the heart of our business.”
Samuel Hessel, Transport Project Manager
Objective 2 : Promote more responsible modes of transport in house
Testimonial :
“ManOrga management strongly encourages employees to carpool. Doing so offers opportunities to get to know each other, reduce the number of vehicles on the road and emit less greenhouse gases. And obviously, carpooling allows significant financial savings.“
